What is an average amount of clicks per second?

Clicks per second, or CPS for short, is an important measure of computer usage that can provide a variety of insights into how users are interacting with their devices. It is used to measure how fast a user can interact with their computer, and therefore can be indicative of the user's proficiency in using the system. It is also an important measure when assessing how efficient workers are when using their computers.

CPS can vary significantly depending on the type of tasks or applications being used. For example, people playing a game may have incredibly high CPS as they click quickly to maneuver through the game, while users only completing basic typing tasks may have much lower levels. Generally speaking though, an average amount of clicks per second is approximately 8-14 depending on the user's background on that particular task at hand.

Newer software and applications are able to utilize higher CPS capabilities from users as they continue to become more accustomed with systems and technology in general. This means that more experienced users with more background in a particular task will have higher click rates than those who are just starting out or unfamiliar with the software being used. However, this does not necessarily mean that experienced users should aim for maximum accuracy when it comes to clicking; rather they should strive to achieve a steady and consistent level of accuracy over a long period of time in order get better results from their clicking performance.
